How would you feel if the sentences you try to read are a weird combination of letters, numbers and symbols? How could you feel part of the world we are living in? That’s the trouble some kids and people who suffer from Specific Language Impairment (SLI) and who feel outside of the system.
It’s quite impossible for us to imagine or feel this sensation. So, Atelca and its agency have reproduced this sensation.
They changed the subtitles downloaded by Game of Thrones fans, as a new media, to raise awareness of SLI.
Everyone knows Game of Thrones in Spain. It’s one of the most downloaded series. But as the dialogues are hard to understand, everyone reads the subtitles. And the trick is here. Replace the Spanish sentences in a combination of letters, numbers and symbols to create awareness of SLI.
In a single day, more than 100.000 persons had experienced SLI.
A lot of media covered this action and with a low budget, they made a big impact!
